Moez (Abdelrahman Moez) is a self-taught software engineer turned 2× CTO based in Cairo. He came up in the pre-YouTube era of solo learning — articles, forums, and hard-copy books across networking, cryptography, ethical hacking, and programming in Perl, C, C++, Python, PHP, and JavaScript — and was shipping products to friends in Python before he understood what a software development lifecycle was.

After roughly four years of word-of-mouth freelance work and a two-year stint teaching web development as a crash-course instructor, he moved into entrepreneurship. He co-built Platform One, Egypt's leading B2B pharmaceutical marketplace, and scaled it to 1,160 pharmacies and 158 distributors before the company was acquired in full by Aumet Inc. in December 2021. The Cairo engineering team he built was retained as part of Aumet's Egypt operations.

He's currently co-founder and CTO at Career 180, a Pre-Series A EdTech serving the MENA workforce. He built the platform from a blank repo, grew engineering past 10 people, originated and built the LMS-as-SaaS behind Career 180's B2B Projects & Partnerships, and stood up the Scrum, QA, cybersecurity, and Data & BI practices the company runs on. In 2024 he represented Career 180 on-site at SuperCharger Ventures Malta and pitched at demo day.

He believes building software isn't writing code — it's designing the solution to fit the customer's problem, persona, and nature first. The code is the easy part.
