Two ventures shipped from a blank repo — Platform One, acquired by Aumet in 2021;
Career 180, still CTO at Pre-Series A. Plus the freelance, agency, and teaching
years that built the playbook.
Ventures — co-built and run
Two bets. Same playbook.
Same Laravel / MySQL / TALL spine. Same approach to hiring, Scrum, and QA.
Different markets, different outcomes — both still running.

Co-founder / CTO
Career 180
Egypt-headquartered employability and career-outcomes platform for the MENA workforce — combining self-paced courses, 1:1 coaching, career services, events, and a SaaS LMS.
Joined as 3rd partner in October 2019 and built the platform from scratch. Grew the engineering org past 10 engineers, introduced Scrum + QA + cybersecurity + Data & BI practices, and architected the LMS-as-SaaS behind B2B Projects & Partnerships. Took partial founder liquidity in 2022; remained CTO. Currently Pre-Series A.

Platform One
Egypt's leading B2B pharmaceutical marketplace — connecting manufacturers, three tiers of distributors, and pharmacies through a single integrated ordering and supply-chain coordination platform.
Built and shipped Egypt's leading B2B pharmaceutical marketplace — order routing, inventory awareness, multi-tier distributor logic, and take-rate billing. Hired and led the Cairo engineering team through the acquisition. Acquired in full by Aumet Inc. in December 2021; led the data migration during integration. Cairo team retained as part of Aumet's Egypt operations.

Before the ventures
The foundation
Freelance referrals, agency builds, and a stint teaching web dev. The years that
taught me what shipping for real customers actually means — before I had a team,
a stack call, or a co-founder.
Mid-career
Contract engineer & collaborator
Multiple agencies
Hired by agencies to build and collaborate with other developers across sales, real estate, Gulf, and startup-launch clients. Known as the developer who shipped good-looking, design-aware web applications.
Brought a designer's eye to engineering work — used to do the design myself before working alongside graphic designers.
~2 years, mid-career
Web development instructor
Taught front-end, back-end, and full-stack web development on-site at agencies and training centers — full curriculum programs and crash-courses. Stepped away from instruction to focus on building.
~4 years, early career
Freelance developer
Word-of-mouth + agency subcontracts
Roughly four years of pure freelance work, no platforms — 45+ projects shipped across 35+ clients, every one of them a word-of-mouth referral from a satisfied previous client.
Client base spanned the full persona range — individual founders, early-stage startups, and established companies. Also took on agency subcontracts as an outsourced developer building under their banner with no direct client contact — which forced the discipline of working from a written spec, hitting an agency-set quality bar, and shipping without the discovery-call context most freelancers rely on.
